The sea currents of the Atlantic have multi-layered passages of thermal
dynamic strata, these substrata as patterns of sound and as spaces of
displacement, reflect on terrestrial surface patterns. This exhibition
will explore the theme of dynamic layers in contemporary painting,
through the work and the relational undercurrents of their practice in
the context of three prominent abstract painters and the three distinct
visual art spaces of the gallery at Solstice.

Director: Jason Reitman
U.S.A 2006 - 92min - 15A
Nick Naylor (Aaron Eckhart), the chief spokesman for the tobacco lobby
in Washington, is handsome and likeable, a mixture of swagger and
impudent candor. Nick knows that his arguments in favour of smoking are
rubbish, but he enjoys the ‘game of spin’ too much to give it up. The
comic highlight of the movie is the regular lunch sessions that Nick
holds with the lobbyists for the alcohol and firearms, collectively
self-referred to as the M.O.D. Squad (or Merchants of Death). When Nick
gets written up by a seductive reporter (Katie Holmes) from the
Washington Probe, his life goes into a tailspin.
Admission: €6 / Book Tickets.
