A Renovation in the Royal County
Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa in the Meath unveils €450,000 renovation
Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, nestled in the picturesque Meath countryside, the Royal County, has officially unveiled a refurbishment valued at almost half a million euros, including an elegant update to the Hotel Lobby and Terrace Lounge.
Classic meets contemporary as the Georgian mansion, which dates back to 1764, seamlessly merges with the hotel’s latest refurbishment, providing guests with a beautiful welcome while still retaining the buildings historic charm. Guests will now be immersed in sophisticated comfort on arrival, with the four-star hotel featuring stylish interiors and a beautiful backdrop for your countryside escape.
With the expert assistance of Architect Gráinne Weber and Interior Designer Gregory Curran, the Hotel Lobby and Terrace Lounge have been designed with a tasteful blend of plush greens, pinks, blues and gold, creating a warm and welcoming ambience for guests. The addition of subtle brass furnishings, custom art pieces commissioned by the hotel, sage green linen wallpaper and the reinvention of the original walls of the Old House as a feature in the Lobby, all make for an exquisite reimagining of the hotel and a fresh view for visitors.
In the Terrace Lounge, a rich and inviting colour palette, along with intricate floral patterns and furnishings, create an elegant surrounding for guests to enjoy a relaxing bite to eat, indulge in afternoon tea or a delicious cocktail overlooking the hotel gardens. An extension of the Terrace Lobby Bar and the addition of a standout glass and light fixture highlights the open and chic space to complete the transformational redesign.
Commenting on the hotel renovation, Gráinne Ross, Managing Director said: “We are truly delighted to officially unveil our new renovations at Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa. The new and improved design of our Lobby and Terrace Lounge creates a luxurious space giving guests the ultimate experience in comfort. Our guests are at the heart of our business, so we are thrilled to offer them a beautiful, new arrival area and space for guests to catch up or enjoy a bite to eat. We would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support and we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa in the coming months.”
The architect of the renovation, Grainne Weber added: “Bringing together the old and new in a seamless and stylish way was integral to the redesign of Dunboyne Castle and we are thrilled with the result! This project was a collaborative process between the interior designer, the hotel and myself and we are delighted to present a revitalised space that blends classic with contemporary beautifully and is more welcoming than ever.”
