Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club
Luttrellstown Castle Resort offers world-class golf experiences
Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club is situated within the 567 acre walled estate of Luttrellstown Castle, only 20 minutes’ drive to the centre of Dublin City and Dublin Airport. The 18-hole championship parkland course with McKenzie/Steele design. A feature is the links-style bunkers. Magnificent mature trees throughout the course guide the course throughout the estate. The Golf & Country Club is located on the eastern side of the estate and is bounded by mature woodlands. The natural contours of the land have been cleverly used to maintain the integrity of this ancient landscape.
The course measures over 7347 yards from the championship tees, making it a worthy test for golfers of the highest standard. Water is featured on 11 holes, accurate tee shots determine where and how much of the hazard must be crossed. The view from the 15th tee down across the Liffey Valley and Strawberry Beds is spectacular, while the par four 2nd presents visitors with the first glimpse of the castle. A view of a romantic Doric Temple and quaint Boathouse also adds to the appeal of this hole. The stretch between the 12th and 16th holes is the most demanding on the course as it is here most games are won or lost.
Fairyhouse Racecourse is one of Ireland's premier horse racing venues. Situated in the parish of Ratoath in County Meath. It is the home of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National. If you have yet to experience the exhilaration or race day in full swing, you really are missing out. Feel your pulse beat faster, hear you heart beat louder as the horses thunder down the famous Fairyhouse home straight to the roar of the crowds.
